I am a huge fan of pull ups and chin ups. I have had home pull up bars before, the type that hang through and around the door frame but was never impressed with those and as such until now I could only do pull ups and chin ups when at the gym. Someone mentioned to me about this type of pull up bar where you get a solid fit in the home and without it being screwed in walls as a permanent fixture and I had to buy one…….and am pleased I did!

I have set the pull up bar between two solid walls in the entrance to my home office……and I am now doing pull ups and chin ups pretty much every day (and at least a couple each time I walk through the door way!).

Please see video and photos with this review showing this pull up bar from Purrgrit including how the mechanism for tightening and loosening works and also dimensions of the support wall plates and the thickness of the bar.

To fit it is simple, just unscrew the two caps on the ends of the bar part that you hold, then swivel the ends until you get the distance just less than gap where want to use the pull up bar, then with bar in place turn the bar part that you hold until the wall plates start to compress against the door frame or wall etc and at this point straighten the wall plates and get them in position using the spirit level bubble that each has, then nip the bar tight and once tight screw the two caps back in place. That is it! Once you get hang of how to do it takes only seconds to put in place and remove, which is handy if you do not want it always on display etc.

When using the pull up bar it is solid and has zero movement. Also the bar itself is a nice thickness and is comfortable to grip and if needs be is easy to adjust.

Only piece of advice before ordering would be check dimensions of bar against opening where you want to use it and also if using on wall and not in door frame then make sure wall is solid and suitable.

I absolutely recommend this to those looking for a pull up bar form home use which is strong and stable and is not a permanent screwed in the wall fixture.

La barra per pull-up della Purrgrit (Modello G-One) arriva nella sua confezione brandizzata in cartone, incellophanata con dentro le istruzioni in inglese e tedesco.
Packaging perfetto per la protezione del prodotto, che è arrivato in perfette condizioni.

📋 Descrizione del Prodotto 📋
Si tratta di una barra per trazioni da assicurare alle porte interne di casa o dovunque abbiate due pareti abbastanza vicine.
Come anticipato, nella confezione si trovano le istruzioni in inglese e tedesco (non c’è in lingua italiana); inoltre, vi sono due spessori (di colore bianco) in schiuma ad alta densità: servono a non rovinare muri o porte nella stretta della barra – ma lo vediamo dopo.

La parte centrale della barra è ricoperta con uno strato di schiuma molto spessa e antiscivolo, cui ci si aggrappa per fare le trazioni.
Anche se non si vede nelle foto che ho caricato, vi confermo che la barra, alle sue estremità, presenta due livelle che consentono di capire se l’installazione è avvenuta correttamente oppure se è un po’ obliqua.
Attenzione, montare grossolanamente questa barra potrebbe inficiare sulla sua tenuta.

Al tatto, comunque, si sente che è un buon prodotto solido.

🔧 Facilità d’uso/Installazione 🔧
Sebbene non siano disponibili le istruzioni in italiano, il montaggio di questa barra per trazioni risulta abbastanza intuitivo.
Innanzitutto è fondamentale svitare i due ingranaggi che fanno parte del sistema di blocco: facendo dunque ruotare la barra centrale (quella gommata sulla quale vi aggrapperete per fare le trazioni), la barra stessa comincerà ad estendersi fino a 94cm.
Attraverso l’uso dei due spessori bianchi in schiuma ad alta intensità non solo si guadagna 1 o 2 cm in più, ma questo consente anche una protezione del muro/della porta cui l’avrete fissata. Dando uno sguardo alle livelle, nel corso dell’installazione, potrete anche avere modo di sapere se la state assicurando alle superfici nella maniera migliore (nice to have che non mi aspettavo e che mi ha colpito positivamente).
Una volta fatto tutto questo, è fondamentale ricordarsi di avvitare nuovamente gli ingranaggi che erano stati svitati per allungare la barra.

⚖️ Conclusioni ⚖️
Questa barra per trazioni è un prodotto davvero soddisfacente: ho pensato di caricare un video mentre la usavo, proprio per mostrare la bontà del prodotto. Peso circa 73kg e l’ho fissata al passaggio che ho in un tramezzo di casa. Ho pensato anche di fotografare e mostrarvi gli spessori bianchi prima e dopo l’utilizzo: dà pienamente l’idea di che tipo di importanza hanno e che tipo di danno avrei fatto se non li avessi messi! Il posizionamento di questi mi ha dato la serenità di stringere al massimo la barra, che infatti mi ha sostenuto per tutto il tempo in cui ho voluto esercitarmi.
Davvero un buon prodotto, ben pensato e solido.
